Functional Movement Systems

Innovation is often born out of simplicity and Functional Movement systems (FMS) began back in 1995 when Gray Cook found himself sketching diagrams of movement patterns on a napkin. Those sketches laid the foundation for the entire system. For over twenty five years FMS have been an industry leader in screening, testing and assessing movement quality at the highest levels of professional sport. The team at FMS have always hoped that their work would lead them back to where they started – in schools and youth sport.
